Tea Party

I am having a Tea Party for my Secret Sister group at church next Tuesday. this is the favor. It will have tea bags and a butter cookie shaped like a tea bag in the middle. They are so cute. These can be found on the net and are very easy to make.

Here is the card I made for the Tea Party. I was going to make it an invitation but decided to just give it to them so they can send a card to someone. I cased this card from here. Hope you like it as much as I do.

BLAKE'S BRACELETS

My very talented grandson Blake makes these survival bracelets. He sells them for $5 each so if you would like to buy one just send me an e-mail with colors and quantity. They call them "survival" bracelets because they are made with 8 feet of nylon cord or if you are in a bind and need a rope you can take this bracelet apart and use the cord. I think that is so cool. You can get them in school colors too!! I hope you will order one or more for you kids or grandkids or the campers or hikers in your life. Enjoy!!

SU Meeting Swap

Hello everyone. Man it has been a long time. I can't seem to keep up these days. Here is a couple of pictures of the SWAP I made for our SU downline meeting tomorrow. These little boxes were in the SU magazine this month. Enjoy!!

The card stock is Pear Pizzaz and measures 5 1/4 X 3. Score on the 5 1/4 side every 7/8". The ends are DSP cut with the Fancy Flower punch. I used the Modern label punch for the window and then covered it with a 2 1/2 X 3/4" piece of window sheet. Then I used the postage stamp punch in real red and the 1" punch in whisper white. I used the real red marker with the Outlined Occassions stamp set. I used some wax string that I have had for awhile that isn't SU. Sorry I couldn't find my hemp twine. I hope you will make some of these and let me know how it goes and send me a pic.

UPDATE

Hello fellow stampers. I don't have any pictures to post this morning but wanted to post an update. We have moved to Choctaw,OK and are getting settled in. My stamping supplies are kind of scattered at the moment but I will work on that today. I am having major stamping withdraws. I plan to work on the Make-N-Takes we got at Leadership today so I can post some pics very soon.

I am also getting ready to do a fund raiser for Project Linus. If you aren't familiar with this organization they provide blankets to any child that is going through any kind of trauma. They provide blankets to hospitals, shelters and children of military families. I will be making a set of 12 all occasion greeting cards and envelopes. You will get 2 cards of each 6 designs. The cost is $25, with $20 going to Project Linus and $5 to cover the cost of the supplies. If you would like a set please send 2 checks, one to Project Linus and one to Julia Gass to 2463 Orchard Rd, Choctaw, OK 73020 with your name, address and phone number on a separate sheet of paper so that I can contact you when your set is complete. When I get the cards made I will post some pics. The sets will not be the same so your set may not look like the ones I post. I hope you will all help with this fund raiser. These women are wonderful and they are about out of money, which they use for labels on the blankets and postage to send them where ever they are needed.
